We wanted to see Berlin for a while now and all the pieces came together in March 2008. I have been on the e-mail list of Viking River Cruises for quite a while, hoping that they would come along with a good offer for one of their Berlin - Prague cruises on the Elbe. Well, it finally happened. They had an offer for 50% off on the April 4 trip. They sent me the e-mail on March 20, so we had to plan this trip on very short notice. The itinerary included two nights in a Berlin hotel, then a 7-night cruise and two more nights in a Prague hotel. We added three more nights in Berlin in the same hotel (Hilton) that Viking uses so we would have more time to see Berlin. Continental came through with Frequent Flyer tickets - even at this late date. I was quite surprised that they had them. We should have access to the internet throughout the trip, so I hope I'll be able to keep up with this.
